假遠(yuǎn)期信用證（Usance Letter of Credit Payable at sight），又稱(chēng)作 “買(mǎi)方遠(yuǎn)期信用證”。
是指買(mǎi)賣(mài)雙方在簽合同時(shí)規(guī)定，由進(jìn)口商負(fù)擔(dān)貼現(xiàn)利息和手續(xù)費(fèi)，出口商（受益人）能即期收到全部貨款的一種信用證。
假遠(yuǎn)期信用證的特點(diǎn)是，匯票為遠(yuǎn)期，卻按即期付款；付款銀行同意即期付款，貼現(xiàn)費(fèi)用由進(jìn)口商承擔(dān)。
換言之，出口商開(kāi)立遠(yuǎn)期匯票，但信用證明文規(guī)定按即期收匯。
假遠(yuǎn)期信用證實(shí)質(zhì)是開(kāi)證行或付款行對(duì)進(jìn)口商提供了融通資金的便利，一般來(lái)說(shuō)所需支付的利息由進(jìn)口商承擔(dān)。
